E-vir (entecavir) is an oral antiviral drug used in the treatment of hepatitis b virus (hbv) infection.
Entecavir is used to treat chronic (long-term) hepatitis B infection (swelling of the liver caused by a virus) in people who have liver damage. Entecavir is in a class of medications called nucleoside analogs. E-VIR helps to improve the quality of life by preventing progression of the disease to Cirrhosis, Decompensated Cirrhosis, End-Stage Liver Disease. This is achieved by suppression of Hepatitis B virus in a sustained manner.
